Day 27 - Reedsburg, WI to Madison, WI - 65 miles

They use letters for county roads here in Wisconsin. Hmmm.

A short day becomes longer when it’s windy. Today’s ride should have been a snap, but for some reason, I was still beat by the time I rolled into Madison and over to Nate’s house. This kind CS host put me up on an evening where I surely would have been camping in the rain. After hanging out for a while talking bikes and grabbing a burrito, I tried my best to catch up on email, blogging, etc, but was too exhausted to concentrate. That stuff‘ll have to wait for another day.

It’s hard to tell in such a short time, but I think I love it here in Madison. Active, friendly people (one of them was kind enough to escort me into the city so I didn’t have to find my way by map) and bikes everywhere. It seems like the quality of life is pretty good here – just wonder what it’s like in the winter???
