Apart from the incredible hospitality I was receiving, the highlight of today was the 3+ hour "nap" I took not long after waking up from a 10 hour sleep. I guess I needed the rest.
After the recovery day, I had to make some choices about what to do today. My good friend Brendan was only 80 miles south in Northbrook, Il, but he was leaving the country tomorrow. Instead of trying to ride down there and catch up with him for just a couple hours, I took the hour ride on Amtrak to spend the day and evening with Brendan and his family. Many thanks to KP and her family for a wonderful dinner.
